To Whom It May Concern,
When Cogent first contacted our office I accepted the call. Since we receive these calls periodically from similar entities I thought about the usual response of “not interested but thank you”, but that day I did not. I accepted the call and was receptful to a first meeting.
Two gentlemen arrived on the arranged date. Bret Tubergen and Michael Augerinos. After listening to what they had to say about Cogent, and how Cogent would do a preliminary analysis, I agreed to go a step further. Enter Arlon Scott Albert MBA, “Senior Business Analyst”, on to the scene. I felt like Arlon was so direct, so to the point, so informative, in such a short period of a time of two days, was impressive. I was convinced Cogent’s services were valuable to our company not only now, but for Browns Oil Service’s future.
On May 28th, 2019 Mr. Vincent Botto arrived at our family business and began a transformation that I believe will affect our company and its personnel well into the future.
By transformation I mean; reorganizing our company from its very core, out to the 180 + tires on the ground at our point of delivery. We now have structured weekly meetings-recapping the previous week and its progress, and a schedule of the company’s up-coming events, issues, and tasks at hand. Our employees have a new sense of importance and direction, something that you can’t put a price on. We now have a new pricing model we will be implementing in the very near future.
I would be lying if I said that didn’t excite me, but still I can not say that was and is the most important thing Cogent put in place. Our shop now has an Excel spread sheet on fleet maintenance for the first time; invaluable. A budget used to be a cuss word to me, heck I thought a “dashboard” was in my car, and KPI was a bakery!
Mr. Vince Botto, it has been an absolute pleasure to make his acquaintance. I wasn’t sure what to expect. He brings professionalism, courtesy, compassion, and an all-around gentleman and mentor. Thank You.
Sincerely,
Lee Pope
