I invited Cogent in to help address some operational concerns that the firm was encountering. The initial findings confirmed that we had issues that needed to be addressed for the company to move forward and build towards future growth. Irvin Lucas helped me work through the most critical things first, which was getting accountability back into the organization.
Irvin has put great effort into really understanding our business and what benefits us most. He helped in the areas of organization and operations by providing us a way to measure the progress of our projects, introducing short interval control to keep the staff accountable for completing projects on time and on budget. We now have the tools in place to motivate the staff to excel through
performance-based job description and new profit-sharing opportunities. From an operational perspective, we have the tools to track and monitor the financial performance of our projects and can make immediate adjustments to ensure they are profitable.
Over the past 7 weeks together Cogent has partnered with Odle McGuire Shook to provide the tools, training and documentation needed to stay on track. I am excited to see where the firm will be in the next 6 months to a year after everything is fully implemented.
