Big Dog Adhesives LLC hired Cogent Analytics to help us manage the growth of our business and increase not only the profitability of the business, but also to align the skills levels of the Management staff with the needs of the growth of the business. We are a small company trying to break through barriers in the adhesive system, and our in-house talent didn’t have the knowledge, skill and ability to make the progress they needed to make.
Merlin VanGerpen, was our initial contact, and he spent three days with us to show us really the many facets of our business that we simply were not aware of. He convinced us to walk the path with Cogent Analytics, and to show us how to grow constructively, profitably, and with the minimal amount of stress.
Fortunately, Merlin and Cogent connected us with our full-time consultant, Manuel Trevino. Manuel was instrumental in delivering leadership training for me and the Management Team, and facilitating the many decisions that I simply would never have made. As a result of his contributions, Manuel has earned our trust and has become a valuable consultant for our organization, and has successfully turned around our organization from an organization that fights the daily fires of business, to one that plans the future of our business.
Manuel has not only become a trusted consultant for us, but has become a valued mentor and friend, who knows what it takes, to make the hard decisions, without emotion, to increase the profitability of the business, and yet have fun running the business.
