Tom is a rare combination of Business Building (3 Startups), Consulting (over 20 years), and practical teaching (Adjunct Professor-Business over 25 years) experience. As a Senior Project Director, he brings these skill sets together to improve the lives of entrepreneurial owners of small to mid-size enterprises (SMEs).
Along the way, Tom has developed four (4) guiding principles that he brings to each consulting engagement:
1. “Your Why” drives Purpose
2. “Inherent Simplicity” drives Performance
3. “Win-Win” drives Relationships
4. “People are Good” drives Motivation
At the center of Tom’s approach is the heart of the teacher. He focuses on leading client teams through questioning and developing collaboration. He seeks to educate and change leadership teams from within the organization by challenging the norm to identify and capitalize on the inherent simplicity (constraint) that is holding the company back. This simplicity is leveraged to drive performance.
Tom carries his passion for entrepreneurship and teaching into his personal life as a member of the Advisory Board for the Entrepreneurial Institute at St. Charles Community College where he teaches Entrepreneurship, Operations/Quality, Marketing/Sales, and Management. He is also working toward certification as a Pickleball Instructor/Coach with the goal of developing motivated junior players.
