We are just in the final wrap up activities of the Cogent Analytics project for Single Source Procurement. I feel that it was the “perfect storm” of events that brought our companies together. I was nearing a point where I had to make plans to retire and Cogent just happened to call with an intriguing proposition; “try us at a no cost obligation.”
The entire process was extremely professional and efficient. In order to provide the optimal value, Cogent tailored many standard business practices and formats to our company. As a result, we now have a professional company that is prepared to face the future with clear direction.
Everyone that dealt with us in the process was very qualified in their responsibilities. The original personal contact by Bret Tubergen was low pressure and intriguing; the initial assessment by Merlin VanGerpen was insightful and right on the target. Finally, the implementation of the process by Jim Merkle was expertly completed with competent experience and a very personable style.
What Cogent provided me was the relief that I now have a company that is ready to meet the future as well equipped as it can be. If I leave in the near future, I will do so with the knowledge that the company has the direction that will serve them for years to come.
