We have experienced growth for the past two years and I could not do it all myself anymore but had no idea of what to do next. This is why I hired Cogent Analytics. I was at a point that I did not know how to move the company ahead. After meeting with the Senior Business Analyst I made the decision to get help with my business. Immediately Cogent sent John Moscicki to meet with me.
John came into our office to help determine how my company is performing and to see if there are areas of improvement that he could help implement to get us to the next level of gross sales and profits.
After his initial information gathering for our financials and talking with my employees he came up with a general overview of my business and its faults and strengths. Through the next couple of weeks he laid out a detailed plan on how to improve processes, put a budget together, meeting with sales and service personnel, marketing etc. John has a great understanding of business and ability to read people that helped me better understand my business as a whole.
He was able to show me in a way that I could understand, many ways that we were losing money due to time management process or lack thereof. He showed me how my business was running me instead of me running my business. He helped me create my first ever sales and service budget and gave me many tools to help me keep on track with it. Besides business financials and numbers we had many great conversations on my employees and why they do what they do. That was an eye opener for me and will allow me to deal better with them and future employees.
One of the things I was not expecting him to do is suggest and prove to me how I needed to hire a coordinator to help in our day to day business. Of course he also showed me how I could pay for this new employee, I now believe that this person will be one of the major reasons we hit the sales goals we laid out for my business.
John came to work every day with enthusiasm, knowledge, patience, and courage to tell me the things I needed to do to accomplish my goals that I shared with him.
The result of hiring Cogent Analytics is I now have a plan for moving forward, I know what parts of the business to measure and how to measure them, and most important, I now know what to do when the measurements indicate there could be a problem. My understanding of how my business works is much better than before. As our process comes to an end I now consider John a great business resource partner but more importantly a friend that I can call on for help.
