We would like to recommend Cogent Analytics business consulting process. Network Cabling Services engaged with Cogent to assist in transitioning the organization as we grow. Our goal going into the process was to improve the organization accountability, improve our financial performance and grow as a team. It is honestly the best business decision that we have made in 18 years of running the business. The process has been intense but professional and rewarding. It began with the discovery process where we were told what we needed to hear from the analyst David Drylie. The Cogent project team arrived the beginning of the following week and we began an intensive evaluation process. The Cogent team of Vince Pugliese and Nick Jordon integrated with the NCS team quickly. They drove us as owners and our team and what was accomplished was impressive. They worked in parallel to evaluate our organizations strengths, weaknesses and responsibilities and financial performance.
From an organizational perspective, they identified weaknesses in the organization and gaps in our processes. More importantly they showed us accountability is a result of what and how we perform. More impressively they did not tell us what needed to be done but actively participated in helping us define and identify issues. During the 12 weeks the organizational communication and collaboration has noticeably improved. We are driving consistency throughout our processes and challenging each other to meet our expectations.
From a financial perspective, they analyzed every aspect of our business. Identifying areas where we can improve our profitability over our revenue generation. The evaluation included our sales priorities, estimating methods and cost drivers. They showed us how to monitor our progress to drive the behaviors in the organization. We are very excited about our potential and future.
The Cogent team has evaluated every aspect of our business in an incredible amount of time. This process is intense and tiring. It was nothing like what we originally perceived. We did achieve what we had originally set out to accomplish but so much more. Our team is much more efficient and taking ownership as never before and as a result we expect our return to far exceed our investment.
We have a strong foundation to build from and we better understand expectations of each other to move forward and not revert to our previous behaviors.
