Our experience with Cogent has been very enlightening and educational to say the least. Working with them is fast paced and intense but overall has been a great experience. We were aware of the need to get organized and structured but had no idea where or how to start. The team of professionals at Cogent not only gave us a starting point but taught us the skills needed to maintain what we had learned.
During our first meeting with Bret it was obvious that we needed to make several changes within the organization in order to continue being profitable and to grow the business year after year. We liked everything that Cogent had to offer and decided to move forward with the project. At that point we had no idea just how much help we really needed.
The discovery process with Kevin was a complete eye opener! It brought to light numerous holes in how the company was being run as well as the potential exposure to lawsuits. In just a few days, he was able to show us just how much money we were losing and how much potential there was to put more in everyone’s pocket.
Working with Kris has been a very positive experience. She has done a fantastic job! Not only did she train us how to use all the new tools her and Josette had created for us, but also made sure we saw the value in everything we were doing and changing. She listened to our needs and concerns and provided useful solutions that are sustainable and easy to understand.
Working with Cogent really makes you feel like you have an entire team behind you. Their dedication to our success was apparent. They encompass all aspects of the business and provide knowledgeable solutions along with the tools needed to control and navigate the future of the business successfully.
The only negative thing about the project was the lack of a tax planning partner. Looking at a new tax structure was one of the main items we wanted to address during the beginning of the project and due to a lack of partnership, it was pushed off.
As a whole we are incredibly happy we made this decision and we fully plan to stick with the implementation of all the changes to our company. It’s comforting to know that we have this TEAM of professionals behind us, not only to support our business but to grow it year after year.
