Spyglass Solutions has been very happy with Cogent Analytics services. Our understanding of Cogent’s services began with our initial meeting with Eli Shapiro. Eli was very personable and flexible following up with Spyglass. He made time to educate us about the value Cogent could provide to Spyglass.
During the “discovery” phase of Cogent’s services we worked with Kevin Cummins to identify areas of concern and strength. Cogent help shine lights in to dark corners of our business to help us gain a better understanding of current status. This was very illuminating to the Spyglass leadership team – the majority of which mainly came from an operations background. Kevin was professional and well suited to quickly gauge the challenges and opportunities within a business.
During the “high intensity” phase of Cogent’s services we worked with Trevor Sprague. If you are a young professional who is open to professional critiques, learning, and bouncing ideas off of, Trevor is your guy. From our initial meeting with Trevor it was clear he would be a great coach and mentor to the Spyglass leadership team. Trevor quickly “read the room” and understood the atmospherics within the business. Spyglass and Cogent quickly got to work assessing the business and identifying the critical areas to work on. In Spyglass’s case it was business development. We focused on building the plan to grow Spyglass’s customer base and decrease our customer concentration. Spyglass and Trevor conducted several exercises such as the Golden Circle, opportunity wall, and key stack holder interview. Spyglass made “money” during the high intensity phase developing key performance indicators, a cash management system, budget, strategic recruiting plan, employee retention credit (ERC), and many other tools. Spyglass and Trevor developed our “lifecycle” phase plan of action. Spyglass is looking forward to our weekly conversations and three week long sessions with Trevor in upcoming year.
