My name is Chet McGregor, owner and president of United Parts Supply, LLC. It took me three years to make the decision to have Cogent Analytics come in. When they showed up it was hard to listen because I did not understand what Cogent Analytics did. Within the first hour of them explaining what they did I knew that it was exactly what I needed to do for my business. I knew that we needed to make some policy changes and I was lost on how to do that. I knew that I also wanted someone to check over all our QuickBooks and tax files. Cogent Analytics does all of this and more. They found many areas within that had issues that were costing us money every week. We also went over how things should be put into QuickBooks as far as how the different business expenses should be put in. We also came to realize that my employees had been somewhat self-trained and that I needed to establish proper training as well.
Our taxes were really worrying me every week. I know that I am doing the best I can for my business being a self-educated man, but the whole time I have been filing wrong and my CPA never once said that I should maybe have someone look at how we were filing. The Friday I hired Cogent Analytics I thought we would start in a week or two. To my surprise they had Olivia Tigrett come in the following Monday to start and help us get everything in order.
I figured it would be a week before she could get the feel for things around the shop. Olivia jumped right in and had already started and was asking questions like she was here to work for me. Mrs. Olivia has never stopped updating me on what she was doing and always made sure to ask if I agreed or didn’t agree with something. Some of the things that she mentioned to me I had not even thought about in our 30 years of business such as policies and procedures and accident reports. She helped break the yard down into zones and we hired our first yard manager to help take the pressure off me. I have always felt bad for not coming in for a day and Cogent Analytics stated that I should not feel bad about not coming in for a day. Which is another reason why I had Olivia stay for an extra week to do something that she had thought about and mention to me.
Olivia has gone above and beyond to help me with my business. She leaves her family and flies here every Sunday and leaves Friday afternoon to go back home to her family. She is a remarkable person and has been more than happy to take on anything I have thrown her way. She reassures me not to worry and lets me know that she is going to make sure we get what we need to grow and most importantly for me to have a day or even 3 weeks off and not have to worry about anything. She went the extra mile and took the time out to listen to me about what I want for my company and made her own observations as well about what she thinks would be beneficial. Olivia and her team are excellent and will exceed expectations when it comes to helping you with your company.
