Cogent Analytics, through the Cogent Cares initiative has teamed with Objective Zero to help bring the nation’s veteran suicide rate down to zero.
By donating time and expertise, Cogent Analytics is mentoring Objective Zero to help provide a sustainable base from which to increase awareness and bring focus to the very real and somber issues many vets are struggling with every day.
“With roughly 20 veterans committing suicide every day, at a rate 21% higher than the civilian average; it’s clear more must be done to help our veterans,” says Blake Bassett, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Objective Zero. Our mission and belief is that veteran suicide can be prevented through the simple act of listening. Objective Zero has been created as a Mobile App and 501(C) (3) nonprofit that anonymously connects veterans to suicide prevention resources and a community of veterans, counselors, and concerned citizens.
The Objective Zero Foundation enhances social connectedness and access to suicide prevention resources to prevent veteran suicide.
