It is my pleasure to write this letter in response to our experience working with Bob Hahn, our project director who was assigned to our company by Merlin VanGerpen.

I am the president/owner of Serenus Johnson Construction as of 2014. I have worked for the company for the past 30 years. This past summer we celebrated our 100th year anniversary as a General Contractor in Bay City, Michigan. We have been very successful over the years, but I could see that we needed to create more structure and procedures to move us into our next century of business. With this understanding it was a clear decision for me to hire Cogent Analytics as a management consultant.

Bob Hahn arrived at our door step at 8:00 am the following Monday. Bob and I spent most of that Monday together so he could understand our company and my goals for the future. He had a plan in place based on previous information I had provided, but after our first meeting, he made some corrections to make sure he met my expectations. Bob and the Cogent team walked us through everything from organization development, cash flow management, and sales forecasting to profit and expense control. Bob and I have worked well together, he started off by saying “think of me as your business partner, I want our company to be successful”. He also told me, after the first week, that our company was very sound and successful, we just needed to be polished in a few areas. I took that as a compliment and agreed to his assessment. I am confident to say that with this experience with Bob, Serenus Johnson will be more efficient and productive to meet our goals.

I am very pleased with Cogent Analytics and look forward to implementing all the procedures that Bob has introduced to us. We also look forward to our follow up phone conversations with Bob to ensure that we stay on course with continued improvements.
