We have been doing mechanical and electrical work for 56 years, second generation with the third at the door. What brought me to Cogent was needing correct P&Ls, correct books, and a handle on my tax liabilities. I have always looked for that kind of knowledge and never found it. What I got was enlightenment on protecting 56 years of blood, sweat and tears, and things revealed I had never really thought about. Matthew Manning is our Project Director, and he has worked very hard, gone over and above, and smoothed the waters. He is now considered a big part of our team. A lot of tools have been put in front of me and I am still learning how to use some of them. Some of them I knew I needed and never implemented. Now that we have started, I believe we have closed some big gaps and losses. I have a lot of hours in this business, and I have a long way to go. But every day lowers the stress a little, for the peace of mind of knowing my family and the third generation WILL NOT FAIL. I would recommend this to any company, large or small. It shows you your liabilities, your shortcomings, and the efficiency you overlook in the rat race. We have already shared it with other business owners and some are super interested in the process, because no business is perfect and they are all in a rut in one place or another.
