We were familiar with Cogent Analytics and their services for some time. Cogent has visited us several times since 2019, but at the time, we felt we did not need their services. When Nathan Mein stopped by in 2026, we decided to take a closer look. Our grown children were now working in our family business, so succession planning was of interest to us. Nathan said Cogent could assist us with going through that process. Wade Rogers then came out for our three days of Discovery. After the discovery, we realized that the business was heading down the wrong path with a shrinking customer base and fewer sales, and it was difficult to track our financials internally, these being among other areas we discovered we needed help with. Reg Burgess showed up for our six-week high-intensity period. He challenged us to rethink the way we used to do things. He taught us new skills and strategies, and implemented programs to allow our business to become more productive and profitable. He spent time teaching our children leadership skills so they can be more confident in their roles at work. Reg showed us that with determination and hard work, we do have the power and the tools to make the business go in the direction we want it to. Dadeks Machine Works Corp. is becoming a viable business, not a burden, to pass on to our children.
