This statement is written to reflect my experience utilizing Cogent Analytics for Consulting services for my business.

We initially contracted Cogent to do a Discovery, an overall company evaluation. During this, they sent out Arlon Albert. Arlon completed an in-depth evaluation of our company, including our accounting, metric tracking, accountability, management training, operational efficiencies, and more. This was a 3-day process that required a high level of attention from the Ownership team. During this process, we learned a lot about our company and were given very valuable insight into processes that we could improve upon within our company. As an ownership team, we decided that we were willing to continue the process with Cogent so they could help us refine our processes and adapt new ones to benefit our company.

The following week, we met our Project Director, Randolph Brauer. Randolph was selected to lead our improvement efforts based on his experience in our industry and his experience working within a company of our size. During this process, Randolph worked through a variety of aspects of our business to help us identify problem areas and improve upon them. The most important of them is our new Accountability Framework. Randolph helped us put together a system to track KPI metrics and teach us how and when to hold our management team accountable. Since this framework has been put in place, we have seen a significant reduction in manhours and have seen our company operate more efficiently. Truth is, this is only the tip of the iceberg of what was addressed within our company. We addressed improvements in all aspects of our business.

The process required a commitment from ownership and the management team, but Randolph gave us all the tools and training that we needed to be successful. We were extremely impressed with Randolph’s experience and his commitment to our business. We have already committed to a LifeCycle plan with Cogent to ensure the improvements we have made continue after Randolph’s time with us.

All said and done, as an ownership team, we are very happy with the result we have received from working with Randolph and Cogent. They have held us accountable to better our company, but also given us the room necessary to operate our business while going through this process.
