When was the last time you took a deep breath and felt relief? Or didn’t have that nagging feeling that something just wasn’t right, but you couldn’t pinpoint what it was? As a new business owner of a well-
established company, every day I left feeling like something was off, but I didn’t know what. Having climbed the internal ladder, I had long-term working knowledge of the business but lacked understanding of aspects essential for success. Cogent’s introductory call was an answered prayer.

From first contact, I never felt anything but supported. Our Discovery process took three days and revealed a handful of deficits, from processes to accounting to profit. We needed help. I was looking at
the business I had purchased and wondered if I would make it through the next year. “If money wasn’t the issue, would you make the investment?” was the question presented and a promise that the investment would return if I took the leap of faith – so I jumped.

We were assigned a project director who is one of the most driven women I have ever met. She has worked tirelessly to sharpen my focus on the changes necessary for our success. She and the team at Cogent have worked with me to establish clear processes, updating our accounting program, making corrections within the system to reflect correct information, and building tools for my leadership team to understand how each customer encounter is measured. Each and every time I’ve communicated with our PD or her team, I’ve been empowered. I’ve been challenged and humbled, and yet, I’m more confident in the way I’m leading m y team. My team continues to grow in confidence that their work is valued and contributes to the success and profit of the business. Our goals are now clear and attainable through the establishment of a new vision statement alongside foundational core values.

Our engagement is nearing the conclusion of high-intensity work. My team and I are gaining momentum with our mission forward. This process by no means is for the proud. To be successful, you have to
commit to learning from lessons. But if you’re willing to take a step back and shift your perspective, you will not regret the decision to partner with Cogent.

Thankful and Blessed,
