I have enjoyed our experience with Javier and the rest of the team at Cogent, albeit a pretty intense 5 weeks. I found Arlon’s assessment to be spot on in his summary of the business. He delivered a more accurate and eye opening description of what I have wanted to know about my business in about 30 minutes. His explanation of analytic accounting summed up what 4 accountants had been unable to do in 25 years.

Arlon’s set up was probably light on the amount of time needed by our team for this immersive an experience. We were not quite prepared for the time commitment. I felt that once Javier got going, with his broad skillset, he was able to work across the entire team in a way that allowed sufficient recovery times to complete our normal tasking. His diligent outlines and summaries really kept us on track. It is a lot to take in, in a short period of time.

I’m in agreement with Javier’s assessment that this program has been about project management both from the field side as well as the accounting/task planning/execution and accountability side. His style of teaching our field managers to bore down with questions for accountability, coupled with the financial implications of what that means in terms of profitability to the company, hit home with all of us. I felt like the break even analysis tool with the accurate labor burden calculations were the most impactful for me.

I feel like we are in a position to be able to truly manage our business for what will be the first time as a team. I think the investment with Javier and Cogent will begin to pay off immediately.

I appreciate their professionalism and positive attitude. I think Javier has a tough job and does it with great ease and confidence. It has truly been a pleasure to work with him daily. We will strongly recommend Cogent to our associates. We look forward to sharing an ongoing business relationship with them.
