A proud graduate of Ball State University, Class of 1980, Kurt has since carved out a path that reflects his dynamic capability in both sales and executive management.
Kurt has made significant strides in the medical and hearing sectors, culminating in a track record of managing and developing businesses adeptly and with strategic foresight. Notably, his tenure as the Interim CFO for Clarian Health Systems (now IU Health) involved overseeing a budget of $7 billion, highlighting his competence in financial oversight and organizational leadership.
Kurt’s career encompasses proven successes in sales management and strategic business development, demonstrated by his responsibility for generating over $30M in wholesale sales of hearing instruments nationally from 2000 to 2004, and achieving $105M in retail. His early years in sales within the veterinary and medical fields laid the groundwork for excellence, as evidenced by being named a top sales executive for four out of five years in veterinarian dog food sales, and later achieving a top producer status in the pharmaceutical industry. Upon transitioning into management in the early 1990s, Kurt served as Executive Director for Visiting Nurses of NCI and Director of Field Management for ABC Home Health Services, overseeing 25 offices with $30M in revenues. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to become a business owner in the hearing aid industry before venturing into small business consulting in 2009, a field in which he has continued to excel for the last 15 years.
